The Method Club Rules
This document sets out the rules that you agree to abide by when attending our club (at 133-137 Westbourne Grove) (“The Method”). Some rules apply specifically to your participation in specific activities at The Method, and others apply generally when attending The Method.
Failure to abide by one or more of the below rules may result in us asking you to leave the premises or suspend or terminate your membership, and we reserve the right not to refund you for any amounts paid. Whether we give you prior warning before taking the decision to suspend or terminate your membership is at our sole discretion and depends on the seriousness of the breach.
If you have any questions about these rules, please contact hello@themethod.com
1. DRESS: You agree that you will wear appropriate clothing for the activities that you attend (i.e., gym and exercise clothing for classes, and bathing suits in the wet spa area (no nudity is permitted)). If you would like recommendations of what you should wear, please refer to class/treatment description or contact us using the contact details at the top of this page. Dressing gowns and sandals will be provided during recovery treatments, and these are permitted to be worn in The Lab area only and should not be worn in the social areas of the Method.
2. ARRIVAL: We advise that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of each class or treatment to ensure you do not miss the start of the class or treatment (as you will need to check-in which may require filling in forms). You acknowledge that we may prevent your entry to a class, at our sole discretion, if it has already started, and we may have to shorten the length of your treatment to ensure that there is no impact on subsequent appointments.
3. NO ANIMAL (EXCEPT ASSISTANCE DOGS): For the comfort of our guests and for hygiene reasons, no animals (with the exception of assistance dogs) are permitted in the Method. However, well-behaved dogs may come into the ground floor lobby area of the Method only.
4. FOOD AND DRINK: Only bottled water may be consumed during classes or treatments, and you must not consume any of your own food in the Method or on our premises other than food purchased at the Method.
5. NO SMOKING AND VAPING: Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited in The Method or on our premises.
6. NO SOLICITATION OF STAFF: You agree that you will not solicit or entice our staff or instructors to leave our employment or instruction.
7. NO PHOTOS OF OTHERS: You may take occasional photos and videos for personal reasons in The Method so long as they do not contain images of other individuals unless you have obtained their prior consent. However, we do not permit photos or videos during classes, or any photography that may impact upon another client’s enjoyment of our premises. In addition, you may only use our premises for photographic shoots for promotional purposes (whether to promote a business or your own personal brand) with our marketing or press team’s prior written permission.
8. NO USE OF PHONES DURING CLASSES: You may not use mobile phones or other smart devices (other than smart watches, to the extent they are non-distracting) inside our classes.
9. UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR: You must act respectfully towards our staff, other clients, and other visitors of our premises, and your behaviour must not in any way negatively impact our reputation (judged by us, acting reasonably). If we consider that you are not acting in an acceptable way, such as where you are abusive to our staff, clients, or visitors, as set out at the beginning of these rules we may require you to leave the premises without a refund.
10. USE OF THE METHOD LOUNGE. Use of The Method Lounge is reserved for members and their guests who have attended The Method on a Method Pass.
11. TERRACE AREA. Members may book tables on our terrace area, and unless booked will be allocated thereafter on a first come first served basis.
12. GRATUITIES. Except for Nathalie Café and The Method Lounge, gratuities and service charges are not included. Gratuities are not expected and are at individual’s sole discretion.
13. USE OF LOCKERS. Lockers are available in the changing rooms and are available on a first come first served basis. Lockers are only to be used during your visit and must not be used to store personal items overnight. Lockers will be cleared out at the end of each day, and items in the locker will be placed in our lost property for collection.
14. HYGIENE GUIDELINES. You must adhere to our hygiene recommendations associated with the wet spa area, which will include (but is not limited to) showering between using the sauna and cold plunge pool.
